Why an image shows a broken-link placeholder
Link rot explained, and how to get your art showing again.
When a linked image fails to load we swap in a broken-link placeholder instead of showing an empty box. That means the file is unreachable at the moment — not that your post was removed.
- Open the URL directly in a new tab to confirm it still loads.
- If it 404s, re-upload the file or fix the path on your host.
- If it loads for you but not here, hotlink protection or CORS is blocking us.
- Edit the post with a working URL, or delete and repost.
